All Star Cheer Team Levels
At Sarasota All Stars, we offer four different tiers of competitive cheer programs with six teams, ensuring there is a place for every athlete—regardless of age, skill level, or experience. Whether your athlete is just beginning their cheer journey or is ready for a highly competitive All Star team, we have a program designed to help them learn, grow, and succeed.
- Pre Team: Perfect for athletes preparing to transition into competitive cheer, this program focuses on building strong foundational skills, refining technique, and developing confidence in a team environment. It’s an excellent way to begin your All Star journey without the full time and financial commitment of traditional competitive teams. Athletes will perform at the SAS Parent Showcase and an exhibition. (Age levels youth and junior)
- Tiny Tides Pre Team: Developmental team for our youngest athletes (birth years 2019 and later)
- All Star Novice: welcomes new or beginner athletes to the sport. This is a great option for those just beginning their competitive cheer journey. Our Novice Team will attend 5 events.
- All Star Prep: for athletes ready to take the next step and advance beyond the Novice program. While still a space for growth and learning, Prep teams are considered a competitive category and require certain skills to be met. Prep teams will attend 7-8 events.
- All Star Elite: the highest performance program offered. Elite athletes will be expected to demonstrate technical mastery of skills within this program at their competition skill level. Elite teams will attend a minimum of 6 competitions.
SAS Pre Teams are designed to provide a quality team experience with the lowest time and financial commitment, making it the perfect introduction to All Star cheer. Pre Teams will perform at the SAS Parent Showcase, and perform an exhibition.
Tiny Tides Pre Team is for our tiniest athletes born 2019 and later. This is an age appropriate team full of fun, and is the perfect beginning to their All Star journey. Tiny Tides Pre Team will perform at the SAS Parent Showcase, and perform an exhibition.
SAS Novice Cheer teams are designed to be a lower financial and time commitment option, while still including proper instruction and training. Novice teams will attend 5 events.
SAS Prep and Elite Cheer teams are designed to have more extensive training, require a bigger financial and time commitment, and will attend 7-8 events.
STUNT the sport
The Game. The Skills. The Competition.
STUNT is a fast-paced, head-to-head team sport that takes the athletic skills of cheerleading and turns them into a game.
Instead of performing one routine against a large group of teams, two teams compete directly against each other. Athletes perform the same skills and routines at the same time, and the team with the best execution earns the point.
STUNT focuses on the athletic and technical elements of cheer—including partner stunts, pyramids, tosses, jumps, and tumbling—while removing the traditional crowd-leading component.

How Does STUNT Work?
A STUNT game is divided into four quarters of play, with each quarter focusing on a different set of skills.
- PARTNER STUNTS: Athletes work together to perform partner stunts with strength, balance, body control, and precision.
- PYRAMIDS & TOSSES: Teams work together to perform pyramids and tosses, focusing on timing, teamwork, trust, and technique.
- JUMPS & TUMBLING: Athletes showcase their athleticism through jumps and tumbling skills.
- TEAM ROUTINE: Everything comes together in the final quarter as the team performs a routine that combines skills, timing, teamwork, and performance.
Every point matters. Teams compete head-to-head throughout the game, creating a fast-paced environment where athletes have to rely on one another and execute under pressure.
STUNT Is For All Athletes
STUNT isn’t just for athletes who have been doing cheerleading for years.
We welcome athletes of all backgrounds and experience levels—whether you’re new to STUNT or coming from another athletic background and looking to elevate your performance.
Some athletes may naturally excel at stunting. Others may be strong tumblers, jumpers, or powerful athletes. STUNT gives athletes the opportunity to discover their strengths, develop new skills, and become an important part of a team.
No prior STUNT experience is required.
Our coaches will teach athletes the skills, techniques, and teamwork needed to learn and compete in the sport.
Why STUNT?
STUNT is more than another way to compete. It is part of the future of women’s sports.
The sport continues to grow at the high school and collegiate levels, creating new opportunities for athletes who want to continue competing beyond traditional cheerleading.
STUNT helps athletes develop:
- Strength and athleticism
- Stunting and tumbling skills
- Confidence and mental toughness
- Communication and teamwork
- Competitive experience
- The ability to perform under pressure
- Skills that can prepare them for future high school and collegiate opportunities
And because the sport is continuing to develop, today’s athletes have the opportunity to grow with it.

SEASHELLS
Unique. Beautiful. Strong. Together.
No two seashells are exactly alike—just like our athletes. Each one is special in its own way, and together they create something beautiful.
Cheerabilities: Seashells is an inclusive cheer program for athletes ages 5–18 with disabilities and/or unique abilities. This program is designed to give every athlete the opportunity to experience the joy of cheerleading in a positive, supportive, and encouraging team environment.
Our focus goes beyond learning cheer skills. We want our athletes to build confidence, friendships, teamwork, coordination, and a sense of belonging while celebrating what makes each of them unique.
The Seashells will learn cheers, motions, dance, stunts, and a team routine throughout the season, with modifications and support provided so every athlete can participate at their own level. Most importantly, our athletes will discover that they each have something special to contribute to the team.
Performance Opportunities
The Seashells will have the opportunity to showcase all of their hard work throughout the season:
December 2 — Parent Showcase
The Seashells will perform their routine for family and friends at our Parent Showcase.
December 12 — Jingle Jam Exhibition
The Seashells will have a special exhibition performance at our Jingle Jam in Lakeland, giving them the opportunity to take the floor and experience the excitement of performing in front of a larger audience.
